A picture's worth . . .

Many people have - quite rightly - commented that the picture at the top of this blog is not Harborne, and of course it should be. (actually as of tonight it is, since I braved the blizzards to go to the Harborne Tandoori armed only with an I-Phone and a woolly hat)

Absolutely agree, but I simply haven't had time to go out with my box brownie and get some great new pictures.

Which is where you come in - if you want to help.

We've set up a new group on Flickr called The Harborne Mile, and if you'd like any of your pictures to be considered for the 'masthead' image at the top of the blog - or to be showcased elsewhere in the site, please join the group ad submit your pictures there.

Happy snapping!

  1. How's about arranging a Flickrmeet of the Birmingham Flickr group in Harborne? http://www.flickr.com/groups/birmingham_flickrmeets/ A great way to get a lot of interesting pictures of the area, lots of which will probably be Creative Commons!

  2. Brilliant idea. I must confess to not being ever so familiar with how Flickr works and its etiquette. There's a B17 Flickr group, but I've not been able to track anyone down yet. If you can spread the word, that'd be great. Who decides when and where the next Brum Flickr meets are held?

  3. I think there are regular meets the second Sun of each month. Emma Jones (@editorialgirl) is a group meet regular I think, she's know more than me about this. :-)

'The next regular meet will be 12 noon on Sunday 10th January, for a trip around the soon-to-be-demolished Central Library and Paradise Forum areas. Meet-up location: Urban Coffee Co'
