Yesterday’s was Birmingham Council’s Annual Meeting and Mayor Making Ceremony.
Veteran Bartley Green Councillor John Lines was installed as Lord Mayor for the coming year. Yesterday was the 30th anniversary of the day he was first elected to serve the ward of Bartley Green and he has remained a Councillor for that ward ever since – some record!
The Conservative Shadow Cabinet was announced and I am delighted to have been given the position of Shadow Cabinet Member for Health & Wellbeing.
