Yesterday’s street party on the Waterworks Estate was moved from Parker Street into the Church of the Redeemer’s church hall – just in case the weather turned bad. Although it didn’t actually rain, it was windy and cold so the indoor location was a good move.
It was great to sit down for lunch at long trestle tables – very traditional!
During the meal there was traditional 1950s type music played on an old fashioned record player. After the meal, there was live entertainment from a Steel Band, singers and dancers, with the fun going on all afternoon.
Once again a great time was had by all and a big thank you to the organisers!
