The new traffic light systems at the Hagley Road/Wolverhampton Road junction is a real improvement. There is one issue though. I find that as the Wolverhampton Road coming towards the Hagley Road junction, is only 2 lanes it is causing some major congestion in rush hour traffic. The right hand lane is only for turning right at the lights, yet the left hand lane is for turning left and 2 lanes for going straight on. As there is more traffic wanting to turn left and go straight on, it think the right hand lane should split into 2 as you near the lights, for the right turn and for the right hand straight on lane, then the left lane should split into 2 as you near the lights for the left turn and the left hand straight on lane. I think this would help the flow of the traffic immensely because at the moment it bottlenecks quite a way up the Wolverhampton Road. Many thanks.
